STudent Ministry
Wednesdays | 6:30pm | The Blue Building
Reverberate | rəˈvərbəˌrāt | v. be repeated several times as an echo; have continuing and serious effects.
Our student ministry name comes from the idea conveyed in Acts 1:8—“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Jesus’ disciples were to take the Gospel from their hometown of Jerusalem and let it reverberate to the rest of the world. As a student ministry, our goal is that teens will take what they learn and experience at church to the rest of the their world. The Gospel is not just for Sundays and Wednesdays. It affects every aspect of our lives.
Sunday School | 9:45am in The Blue Building
If you had to choose the most important aspect of a teenager’s life, relationships would be near the top. Relationships are the threads that hold our teenagers’ lives together. Yet as we all know, there are no perfect relationships. When we live life with other people, we will inevitably get hurt. How do we deal with being wronged by others when it’s so di!cult to address and the damage is so real? Good thing Jesus had a ton to say about this.
Jesus and Forgiveness will teach us what real forgiveness looks like, why our forgiveness is tied to how we forgive others, and how forgiveness dramatically impacts the lives of the forgiver and the forgiven.
Lesson 1: Forgiveness Starts with Jesus (September 28, 2025)

Message Series
Some sins seem small, like gossip, pride, anger, or even envy, especially when compared to murder or adultery. But if disregarded, these Little Sins can take deep root and lead to destruction. This series will challenge students to pursue holiness and righteousness and recognize sin for what it is – no matter how big or small we think it may be.
Session 1 – Gossip (Proverbs 18:21) | Gossip may seem harmless. If they don’t know, it won’t hurt them, right? But treating gossip as a little sin can corrupt everyone involved. This session challenges students to use their words to give life and build up, not tear down.
Session 2 – Pride (Romans 3:19-20, 27) | Pride is that sneaky sin that hardens our hearts before we realize it. It shows up in our lives in many ways. The Bible is clear that God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. This session will challenge students to fight pride, they must trust God and put others first.
Session 3 – Anger (Ephesians 4:26-27) | Paul says to be angry but not sin. Anger itself isn’t a sin, but it can be based on why we’re angry and how we respond. If unchecked, anger can be destructive to our lives and the lives of others. We must learn to analyze our anger and rightly order our love.
Session 4 – Envy (James 4:1-3) | Comparison really is a thief of joy. When we compare ourselves to others, we can quickly become discontent, and that discontentment turns into envy. So, envy may sound like a little sin, but it actually distorts our view of God, ourselves, and others.
